Materials used in plastic battery casings
- Polypropylene -They are highly resistance to acids/alkaline substances.They have the ability to withstand temperatures up to 120°C, without deforming. They are lightweight and durable, which makes them ideal for automotive plastic battery casings.
- Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS)– Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) is a two-phase polymer consisting of polybutadiene fused with styrene, acrylonitrile, and styrene-acrylonitrile copolymer. ABS has optimal heat resistance. In terms of pricing and properties ABS lies between low priced commodity plastics and high priced engineering plastics.
